Lakeland Florida Revival & Campmeeting Held at Family Worship Center, Lakeland, Florida. July 2013
It was like a repeat of the great Lakeland revival in 1993 at Carpenters Home Church. (see the excerpt from Richard M Riss book below)   What was originally to be one week of meetings ended up in three weeks, two meetings each day.  The Summer Campmeeting that normally is held at the RMI headquarters, was moved to Lakeland for the fourth week.   People were driving from surrounding cities each night and flying in from other states and Countries. Registration stats show people from 39 states and 32 countries registered for the meetings.  The total number of registrations from the USA was 3,261 with 126 from foreign countries for a total of 3,387 people.   A total of 175 Pastors attended the revival.   Nightly about 2,500 people attended with a further 891 attending online.   Total attendance for the four weeks was 51,209     There were 1,613 people who prayed the prayer of salvation and were born again.   The Call Center present during every meeting, prayed with 4,656 people who gave their lives to Christ.    Total salvations 6.269

From A HISTORY OF THE AWAKENING OF 1992-1995 by Richard M. Riss In February of 1993, Karl Strader, pastor of Carpenter's Home Church in Lakeland, Florida, and his wife, Joyce, were in Hawaii for a Worship '93 conference, where Norvel Hayes prophesied that a tremendous great wind of the Spirit was about to come to them. Joyce Strader wrote in Ministries Today (July/August 1993, p. 38), "We arrived home Saturday night. That Sunday morning Carpenter's Home Church began a planned one-week series of meetings with South African evangelist Rodney Howard-Browne But God had a surprise for us. The meetings went on for four weeks -- with thousands flocking to the church to see and taste the new move of God.... But God never intended for it to last only a week. Full-blown revival has come to Central Florida and Carpenter's Home Church." During the first few months of 1993, Rodney Howard-Browne spent a total of thirteen weeks at that church, and Christian leaders from many parts of the United States, including Richard Roberts, chancellor of Oral Roberts University, came to the meetings to observe and participate, and minister in the new anointing.
